Beauty & the Beast Mirror

I probably don't have to say it again, but I will....I LOVE ANTIQUE STORES!
Look at this incredibly beautiful "Beauty and the Beast" mirror that my mom and I found...isn't it gorgeous?! I absolutely love it! (ignore the mess in the reflection!)

Originally, this mirror was about $150, but it was 30% off, which brought it down to $105...but that's not all...Never accept a price at an antique store without bargaining! My mom talked them down to $80...that's about 47% off the original price! This mirror would be beautiful in a girl's bedroom, or to use as a vanity mirror with a beautiful matching dresser.  I encourage you to go to antique stores! You can find really unique items that you can TALK THE PRICE DOWN for!

Chalkboard Wine Glasses!

LOVE THIS IDEA! So I won't lie and say I came up with this myself...I found this idea on Pinterest.com and decided to make little Christmas gifts out of them...

The best part...it is SUPER easy.  All I did was buy a few wine glasses at the Dollar Store, (one of my favorite stores for crafts like these) got some Chalkboard paint (walmart for about $9...but it's huge so I can use it for a ton of other crafts!) and dip the bottom of the wine glass into the paint! SO EASY and SO CREATIVE! These are great little gifts or party favors! Try it out and send me a pic!

Abbey's Room!

Over the Thanksgiving break, my 8 year old little cousin, Abbey, begged me to do crafts with her every single day....so, I was trying to find a fun little craft to do with her that isn't too hard..

This is what we came up with!
This is such a fun craft to do with kids...All you need is crayons, new or used, a thick poster board, and paint! We glued the crayons to the top of the poster, and just ran a blow dryer over them to melt them down the page (This can get very MESSY, so please do this outside!). When we were finished with that, we just got out the paint and painted some flowers/hearts/butterflies (basically everything little girls love) all over the poster.  This is currently hanging on Abbey's bedroom door, and she loves it!

Once again, a thrify and nifty craft!

Beautifully Colored Vases!

My new favorite thing is to go on Pinterest and just read all the DIY (Do It Yourself) tutorials and start crafting for my apartment, or for gifts!

I found this great one...
Using Dollar Store vases and turning them into colorful works of art vases!
And all you need...Dollar Store vases, or ones you can find around your house, and PermEnamel paint!
